Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum launched major expansion projects at Dubai Silicon Oasis, the special economic zone, committing Dhs12.8bn in investments to boost the emirate’s knowledge economy. The plan includes District IO (Dhs11bn) and Block 14 (Dhs1.8bn), aiming to host over 6,500 companies, create 70,000 jobs and contribute up to Dhs103bn to GDP by 2036.
