Domestic Institutions Drive India Real Estate Investment

Domestic institutional investors led India's real estate investment in 2025, with inflows more than doubling year-on-year to $4.8 billion and accounting for 57% of total volume, Colliers data shows. Foreign capital fell 16% to $3.7 billion, while platform-style joint ventures between global investors and Indian developers — including Mahindra-Mitsui and RMZ-CPPIB ties — are rising, accelerating scalable portfolio strategies and data-centre interest.
