Detection Tools Fail Nano Banana Pro Images

Notebookcheck tested six popular AI-image detectors on January 11, 2026, using a Google Gemini–based generator called Nano Banana Pro. After simple edits—format conversion and metadata removal—then watermark erasure with Windows Photos and brief post-processing in CyberLink PhotoDirector, all detectors reported AI probability under 5 percent. The experiment shows common detectors can be rapidly and easily evaded by standard image edits.
