Daniel Kwan Warns About AI Impact

Daniel Kwan spoke at the THR x Autodesk “AI and Independent Filmmaking” panel at Sundance on Jan. 25, cautioning about AI risks and promoting the documentary The AI Doc, which releases March 27. He urged industry-wide guardrails, criticized social-media data use for model training, and referenced the Creators Coalition on AI. Kwan framed AI as both beneficial and disruptive to labor and creative systems.
