Corning Signs $6 Billion Meta Manufacturing Agreement

Corning announced on Jan. 27 that it signed a multiyear, $6 billion agreement with Meta Platforms to expand optical fiber, cable and connectivity manufacturing across its North Carolina facilities. The deal makes Meta the anchor customer for a significant Hickory capacity expansion, supports sustaining over 5,000 state jobs, and aims to accelerate U.S. data center build-outs for Meta’s AI initiatives.
