BPOM Records Rp50.8 Trillion Economic Impact

Indonesia's Food and Drug Authority (BPOM) reported that its 2025 supervision activities generated at least Rp50.8 trillion (about US$3 billion), BPOM head Taruna Ikrar said on Friday. The figure includes PNBP, enforcement outcomes and cyber patrols; BPOM issued 6,653 GMP certificates, 201,687 marketing authorizations, revoked over 1,000 authorizations, removed hundreds of thousands of illegal online links and plans 2026 AI-driven supervision.
