Claude Code Adds Remote Control Access

Anthropic introduced Remote Control for Claude Code late yesterday, enabling direct Terminal access to local Mac sessions from the Claude app across iPhone, iPad, and macOS. The research-preview links the app to local files, MCP servers, skills and configurations (unlike the cloud‑sandboxed Code tab), requires Terminal to stay open, ends sessions after ten minutes of disconnection, and is currently available only to paid Max subscribers.
Key Points
- 1Enables direct Terminal access inside Claude app, connecting local Mac sessions, files, MCP servers.
- 2Bypasses cloud sandboxed Code environment, granting access to local-only configurations and developer tools.
- 3Allows switching among multiple Mac sessions on iPhone, iPad, and other devices for remote work.
Scoring Rationale
Significant product update with broad developer relevance, limited by research-preview bugs and Max-only rollout constraints.
