China Reaches 80.1 Percent Internet Penetration

The China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC) reported Thursday that China had 1.125 billion internet users by the end of December 2025, raising national internet penetration to 80.1% and narrowing urban-rural gaps. The 57th Statistical Report also cited 4.838 million 5G base stations, 42 intelligent computing clusters exceeding 1,590 EFLOPS, and 602 million generative-AI users.
