China Federation Urges NeurIPS Boycott Over Sanctions

This week the China Computer Federation (CCF) publicly criticized the NeurIPS foundation after NeurIPS said it cannot accept submissions from U.S.-designated 'Specially Designated Nationals' (SDNs) or their affiliates due to U.S. law. CCF demanded NeurIPS reverse the policy and called on Chinese researchers to boycott the conference, raising concerns about reduced Chinese participation and impacts on international academic collaboration.
