Only three in 10 chief executives are confident in their companies' revenue growth over the next year, the lowest level in five years, according to a PwC survey of more than 4,000 CEOs across 95 countries released Jan. 19 at the World Economic Forum in Davos. The survey found 56% saw no financial benefit from AI to date, while 33% reported cost or revenue gains.

Key Points

  • 1Report finds only 30% of CEOs confident in revenue growth over next year
  • 2Highlights major concerns about technology, cyber threats, and trade affecting strategic planning
  • 3Suggests firms must scale AI across products and experiences to capture measurable financial gains

Scoring Rationale

Strong industry relevance and authoritative PwC survey data, but limited novelty and mainly descriptive rather than prescriptive.
