California Housing Shifts Toward Buyer Market

Redfin's December analysis finds buyers outnumbered by sellers across many U.S. markets, with eight California metros showing 35% more sellers than buyers (72,840 vs. 54,045). Nationwide, 36 of 50 tracked markets favored buyers and the rest of the U.S. had 43% more sellers (617,753 vs. 433,119). The data suggests increased choices for house hunters and pressure on seller pricing.
