BRIN Pushes Research Synergy For Defense Tech

Jakarta — Deputy Chair of Indonesia's National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), Amarulla Octavian, on Thursday called for stronger research synergies in defense equipment development to boost technological capabilities and national self-reliance. He said modern multi-domain warfare—driven by artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, and information dominance—requires focus on semiconductors and rare-earth elements, with BRIN positioned to bridge defense needs and national research capacity.
