Bolt Negotiates Google Anchor for Texas Campus
Bolt Data and Energy, cofounded by former Google CEO Eric Schmidt late last year, is negotiating with Google to anchor a large West Texas data-center campus, according to two people familiar with the talks. Google is reportedly considering a 250-megawatt commitment; Bolt raised $150 million in December and plans to expand an initial 250 MW site into a 5-gigawatt campus amid rising AI infrastructure spending.
