BITS Pilani Builds Amaravati AI Plus Campus
Minister for HRD and IT Nara Lokesh on March 13, 2026 reviewed construction plans for BITS Pilani's AI Plus Campus in Amaravati, which will be developed in two phases to accommodate about 7,000 students. BITS officials said the ₹1,000 crore, five-year project will offer courses in artificial intelligence, data science, robotics, computational linguistics and cyber-physical systems, emphasize green buildings and renewable energy, and include agriculture, climate and healthcare programs.
