Anthropic Acquires Vercept To Enhance Claude

Anthropic PBC today announced it has acquired Vercept Inc., the startup behind Vy, a desktop tool that automates multistep tasks and interacts with local files; financial terms were not disclosed. Anthropic said the deal will bolster Claude’s computer-use capabilities, including features in the recently launched Claude Cowork desktop app, and Vercept has told customers it will sunset Vy within 30 days.
