ANRF CEO Urges Collaborative AI Research

Dr. Shivkumar Kalyanaraman, CEO of the Anusandhan National Research Foundation, urged collaborative AI-driven research at National Science Day at SASTRA Deemed University, Thanjavur on March 1, 2026. He said AI can democratize basic research by accelerating knowledge exploration and simulations and called for data sharing — not “data Balkanisation” — to build indigenous AI models. He presented several SASTRA awards and met over 75 academics.
