Americans Express Concern Over AI Job Losses
Quinnipiac University released a national poll March 19–23, 2026, finding 70% of Americans say AI will decrease job opportunities and 30% worry their own job may become obsolete, up from 21% last April. The survey of roughly 1,400 US adults (±3.3 points) also found 65% oppose local AI data centers, 74% say government action is insufficient, and 51% oppose military AI targeting.
