African Businesses Face AI-Cloud Adoption Gap

PwC's 2025 Africa Cloud Business Survey of 1,415 business and technology leaders (July–September 2025) finds 91% rate agentic AI capability as critical when choosing cloud providers, yet only 37% are scaling agentic AI. It also shows a perception gap—33% of business leaders versus 21% of technology leaders report enterprise-wide cloud deployments—and cites budget constraints, skills shortages and governance as barriers. Multi-cloud is common (86%), and 98% plan architecture adjustments for scale and sovereignty.
