Ahrefs analyzed 75,000 brands in a recent study to identify which search factors predict brand mentions in ChatGPT, AI Mode, and AI Overviews. The study finds YouTube mentions show the strongest correlation with AI visibility (≈0.737), followed by branded web mentions (0.66–0.71) and a high output overlap (0.779); it used domains with DR>40 and keyword volume≥800. The findings are correlational, not causal.
