YouTube Expands Auto-Dubbing With Expressive Speech

YouTube expanded its AI-powered auto-dubbing on 4 February to support 27 languages and introduced Expressive Speech for eight languages including English, Spanish, and Hindi. The update uses Google's Gemini AI to better preserve speakers' tone and emotion, and adds a Preferred Language setting, lip-sync pilot, and smart creator controls. YouTube says over six million daily viewers watched at least 10 minutes of auto-dubbed content in December.
