Yann LeCun Raises $1.03B And Appoints CEO
Yann LeCun's AMI Labs said on Tuesday it raised a $1.03 billion seed round and appointed Alex LeBrun as CEO. The Paris-based startup, co-founded by LeCun and joined by NYU professor Saining Xie as chief science officer, will develop "world models" and recruit researchers across hubs in Paris, New York, Montreal and Singapore. Investors include Cathay Innovation, Greycroft, Hiro Capital, HV Capital and Bezos Expeditions.
