Xiaomi Ships Leica-Branded Leitzphone Based On 17 Ultra

At its pre-MWC press conference on February 28, 2026, Xiaomi launched an international Leica-branded Leitzphone based on the 17 Ultra flagship. The Leitzphone pairs Leica styling, a rotatable camera ring, and Leica camera simulations with the 17 Ultra's large sensors, continuous 3.2–4.3x optical zoom, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, 6,000mAh battery, and a roughly £400/€700 price premium. It delivers class-leading mobile photography but the premium positions it as a niche choice for enthusiasts rather than general buyers.
