xAI Faces Legal Challenge Over Turbines

On Friday, the Southern Environmental Law Center and Earthjustice, on behalf of the NAACP, sent a notice of intent to sue xAI and subsidiary MZ Tech LLC over their use of dozens of natural gas turbines at a Southaven, Mississippi facility. They say the turbines require federal permits, violate the Clean Air Act, have contributed to air and noise pollution near majority-Black communities, and could block plans to install 41 permanent turbines pending a Mississippi public hearing.
