WWF-India, in partnership with Microsoft, demonstrated a tech-driven forest fire prediction system for Hosur Forest Division on Feb. 14, 2026, showcasing models trained on roughly 13 years of historical geospatial, topographic, climatic and anthropogenic data. The programme used machine learning and deep-learning to produce susceptibility maps, an interactive dashboard, and trained more than 70 frontline staff to strengthen early warning and preparedness.
