The Welsh government used Microsoft's Copilot to help produce a review of Industry Wales that led to its planned closure, Chairman Keith Ridgway told a Senedd committee on March 4. Ridgway said the unpublished review relied on 28 interviews processed by Copilot and omitted board-backed recommendations; the government said Copilot only transcribed interviews and grouped themes. Industry Wales will close on March 31, 2026, after a £837,000 grant for 2025-26.
