Visa Launches AI Dispute Resolution Tools

Visa is launching six AI-powered tools to modernize credit-card dispute processes, the company told CNBC on April 1, 2026. The tools—three for merchants and three for issuers and acquirers—use generative responses, predictive models, document summarization and centralized case management to address more than 103 million disputes Visa processed in 2025, a 35% rise since 2019. Most tools will be generally available later in 2026.
Scoring Rationale
High score because Visa, a major payments firm, officially announced six AI tools addressing an industry-scale problem (103M disputes in 2025). Scored high for scope, actionability, and credibility; slightly reduced for limited novelty given broader banking AI adoption.
