Synpulse promoted Marcel Loetscher to Senior Partner and Joel Smith to Partner in its Commercial Insurance, Reinsurance, ILS and Delegated Authority (CRID) practice on February 24, 2026. Loetscher will continue to lead the global commercial insurance and reinsurance practice from New York, while Smith supports Zurich-based capabilities. The firm said the appointments aim to accelerate agentic and generative AI–driven modernization of underwriting, claims and finance amid cost pressures and climate risks.
