STMicroelectronics Adds HSP to STM32U3 Microcontrollers

STMicroelectronics introduced two new STM32U3 microcontrollers, the STM32U3B5 and STM32U3C5, offering up to 640 KB SRAM, 2 MB flash, and a hardware signal processor (HSP) accelerator for on-device AI and energy-harvesting operation. Both run an Arm Cortex-M33 at up to 96 MHz with near-threshold operation down to 0.65 V, expanded interfaces, and security features, and will be shown in a batteryless Nucleo camera demo at Embedded World 2026.
Scoring Rationale
