Starling Adds Agentic AI Financial Assistant

Starling rolled out an agentic AI financial assistant called Starling Assistant to personal account customers in the U.K. on March 20, and plans to extend it to business and joint accounts soon. Built on Google Gemini and hosted on Google Cloud, the opt-in assistant handles voice and natural language prompts to set automatic transfers, generate spending quizzes and guide Apple Pay setup, with Starling saying customer data is stored and not used for training.
