South Korea Launches Defense AI Leaders Forum

South Korea launched the Defense AI Leaders Forum on Jan. 16, creating a standing collaboration platform linking policy, technology, security and talent across government, industry, academia, research institutes and the military. Organizers — the Defense Innovation Technology Security Association, the Korea Artificial Intelligence Association and KT — signed a three-party memorandum of understanding and outlined five goals including policy shaping, tech application models, training, trusted systems and an innovation ecosystem. The forum aims to produce practical application models and policy recommendations.
