SoftBank Posts $2.4 Billion Vision Fund Gain

SoftBank posted a $2.4 billion gain at its Vision Fund in the December quarter, driven by a jump in the value of its roughly $40 billion investment in OpenAI, Reuters reported on Feb. 3, 2025. The gain helped offset losses in other bets including chip designer Arm, robotics and driverless-car ventures, and SoftBank shares rose after telecom results and Arm's rally.
