Shanghai Jiao Tong Unveils Optics GPT Model

Researchers at Shanghai Jiao Tong University released Optics GPT on Sunday, presenting the world's first large language model trained solely on optics-domain data to support research, design, education and industry. The team tested the model across six optics subfields and reported superior performance versus general-purpose models, and companies like Shenzhen Wanliyan have begun integrating it into instrumentation workflows to automate calibration and analysis.
