Seoul Stocks Rally On Renewed AI Confidence

Seoul shares rallied Feb. 9 as the KOSPI jumped 208.9 points (4.1%) to 5,298.04 amid renewed confidence in the AI industry, heavy trade of 612.4 million shares and 26.2 trillion won turnover. Foreigners net-bought 441.8 billion won while retail sold 3.29 trillion won; Samsung Electronics rose 4.92% on reports it will mass-produce HBM4 this month, and the won strengthened.
