Samsung Unveils Exynos 2600 With 2nm GAA

Samsung Electronics on Dec. 19 unveiled the Exynos 2600 application processor, now in mass production and built on what it says is the industry's first 2-nanometer gate-all-around (GAA) process. Samsung says the chip integrates CPU, NPU and GPU with up to 39% improved CPU performance and 113% higher generative AI performance versus the Exynos 2500, and it is widely expected to power the Galaxy S26 in February.
Key Points
- 1Introduces industry-first 2-nanometer GAA process in mass-produced Exynos 2600 mobile application processor.
- 2Delivers up to 39% CPU uplift and 113% higher generative AI performance over Exynos 2500.
- 3Enables more on-device AI tasks like intelligent image editing and faster AI assistant functions.
Scoring Rationale
Strong technical novelty and broad industry relevance; score limited by reliance on Samsung's self-reported performance claims without third-party benchmarks.
