Reliance Invests ₹853.2 Cr In AI Subsidiary

Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) has infused ₹853.2 crore into its AI-focused subsidiary Reliance Enterprise Intelligence Ltd (REIL), with RIL taking a 70% stake via a ₹596.6 crore investment and Meta’s Facebook Overseas acquiring the remaining 30% for ₹256.6 crore. The JV will leverage Meta’s open-source Llama models and RIL’s digital infrastructure to build and scale agentic enterprise AI solutions across India and select international markets.
