Red Hat Secures Telcos Standardizing Cloud-Native Platforms
At Mobile World Congress 2026, Red Hat said several telecommunications providers are adopting its platforms to build and deploy cloud-native and legacy workloads. Telefónica Spain is standardizing on Red Hat OpenShift and integrating Red Hat OpenStack Services; Telefónica Brazil migrated its service bus to OpenShift; Telenor, Vodafone Oman and Bell Canada announced expanded use of OpenShift, OpenStack, KubeVirt and Ansible. Red Hat says the aim is to unify VMs and containers to reduce IT costs.
