Rayhawk Secures Three US Railcar Contracts
Rayhawk Technologies, a Saskatoon-based railcar-loading automation startup founded in 2021, has secured three U.S. contracts with FS Grain (Illinois), Market County Grain (Minnesota), and Dakota Midland Grain (North Dakota). The company commercialized a machine-learning and computer-vision-driven gantry that autonomously opens and closes railcar lids, after raising CA$3 million seed funding led by Emmertech, and plans further deployments beyond current Saskatoon systems.
Scoring Rationale
Commercial traction and ML-enabled safety impact, but limited scope confined to railcar loading vertical and early-stage deployment.
