Providers Identify Barriers to mHealth Implementation in AYA Care

A 2026 qualitative study in J Med Internet Res interviewed 20 AYA oncology providers to examine facilitators and barriers to implementing mHealth psychosocial apps into routine care. Using the CFIR framework, researchers found facilitators such as co-design, patient alignment, strong evidence, and user-friendly design, and barriers including costs, heavy clinical workloads, and poor workflow integration.
