Premier Li Urges Rare Earth Technological Innovation

Premier Li Qiang this week called for greater efforts to advance basic and applied research on rare earths and accelerate breakthroughs in core technologies during a fact-finding trip Monday and Tuesday to Ganzhou, Jiangxi province. He urged optimized industrial layout, stricter environmental standards, improved recycling, and expanded applications in new energy and materials, and presided over a State Council study session promoting AI-driven technological innovation to boost consumption and industrial upgrades.
