Kaspersky's 2025 threat report finds that 99% of global email traffic and 43.27% within the Russian web segment were spam, with 50% of spam originating from Russia. The report documents rising entertainment-themed phishing—fake streaming, ticketing, playlist-migration pages—and extensive government-service impersonations harvesting national IDs and charging bogus processing fees. These campaigns resulted in hundreds of millions of blocked malicious attachments and phishing attempts, raising credential and identity-theft risks.
