Payments Canada Completes ISO 20022 Integration

Payments Canada completed full ISO 20022 messaging integration into its high-value Lynx platform on November 22, 2025, replacing MT with MX messages after a transition in which 98% of messages migrated by October 2025. The upgrade enables data-rich payments, automated reconciliation and improved cross-border interoperability for financial institutions, businesses and consumers. Payments Canada also released a preliminary agenda for The SUMMIT 2026, May 5–7 in Toronto, focused on payments innovation and interoperability.
