OpenClaw Creator Criticizes Vibe Coding Term

Peter Steinberger, creator of the AI agent OpenClaw, criticized the term 'vibe coding' on OpenAI's 'Builders Unscripted' podcast, saying it dismisses the skill involved in prompting AI. He compared AI-assisted coding to learning guitar and said he now ships most AI-generated code without reading it after honing prompts. Steinberger also said he joined OpenAI earlier this month following interactions with major AI labs.
