OpenAI Sets Aside 10% Employee Equity

OpenAI last fall set aside an employee stock grant pool equivalent to 10% of the company, valued at $500 billion in October, The Information reported on Wednesday citing two people familiar with the plans. The report says OpenAI has already given $80 billion in vested equity, which together would comprise about 26% of the company. It has held preliminary talks to raise funds at roughly a $750 billion valuation.
