OpenAI Becomes First Customer Of TCS Datacenters

OpenAI will become the first customer of Tata Consultancy Services' data centre business, taking 100 megawatts of capacity, the companies said on February 19, 2026. The agreement is part of Stargate, a $500 billion multi‑year initiative to build AI data centres, and follows TCS's plan to invest up to $7 billion in a 1 gigawatt Indian data‑centre unit. Tata also plans broad ChatGPT Enterprise deployment.
