Nio Hires AI Expert Bolsters Grid Integration

Nio Inc. reported this week that it hired Yang Sheng from Alibaba’s DAMO Academy to its smart-driving division and participated in a large-scale vehicle-to-grid (V2G) trial in eastern China, CnEVPost and Benzinga report. Yang will work on foundational architecture and algorithms while six fourth-generation battery swap sites discharged significant power during peak hours, highlighting potential energy-service expansion.
