NIELIT Establishes Quantum and AI University in Amaravati

NIELIT and the Government of Andhra Pradesh signed an MoU on Feb. 20, 2026 at the AI Impact Summit to establish India's first dedicated Quantum and AI University campus in Amaravati. The campus will host research labs, industry-linked centres of excellence, incubators and programmes spanning quantum computing, AI, hardware and high-performance computing, aiming to anchor the Amaravati Quantum Valley and accelerate talent and industry collaboration.
