Nagpur Police Deploy AI For Crowd Management

Nagpur traffic police will deploy AI tools on Jan 21 to manage crowds and parking for the India–New Zealand T20I, expecting over 40,000 fans. Two applications — Parking Pal for real-time parking availability and AI Nirikshak tied to the Simba database for CCTV-based suspicious behaviour, weapon detection and crowd-density monitoring — will enable diversions and rapid responses. Authorities also banned heavy vehicles and urged metro use.
