Miovision Expands Coverage Through TomTom Partnership

Kitchener, Ont.-based Miovision Technologies announced a partnership with Dutch location-data firm TomTom to integrate TomTom’s traffic data into Miovision One, increasing intersections covered from more than 60,000 to over 300,000 globally using hundreds of millions of mobile data points. Miovision will distribute TomTom Traffic Analytics to public-sector clients, enabling congestion heat maps, corridor and highway analytics, and improved traffic-light timing predictions used to cut travel times in pilot cities.
