Milwaukee Universities Expand Data Science Partnership
On Feb. 12, 2026, Milwaukee’s five higher-education leaders and Northwestern Mutual announced expansion of the Northwestern Mutual Data Science Institute to include MSOE, WCTC and the Medical College of Wisconsin. The institute has raised more than $2 million annually and engaged 160 faculty, and Northwestern Mutual recruits roughly 25% of its hires and 60% of its data workers from the program. The partnership aims to build a regional AI talent pipeline and coordinate ethical curricula.
