Meta Unveils Four-Chip MTIA AI Roadmap
Meta Platforms on Wednesday revealed a roadmap for four in-house MTIA chips designed to power generative AI and ranking systems across Facebook and Instagram. The company said MTIA 300 is already deployed, MTIA 400 has completed testing, and MTIA 450 and 500 will arrive through early 2027, aiming to improve inference performance and data-center efficiency. Meta built chips on RISC-V with Broadcom and TSMC support.
